Vantage-icon.woff – Error
Hello,
when examining my page I receive the following error:
“”downloadable font: OS/2: Bad sTypoLineGap, setting it to 0: -32 (font-family: “vantage-icons” style:normal weight:400 stretch:100 src index:1) source: https://…/wp-content/themes/vantage/icons/vantage-icons.woff”
The file is located in the specified folder.
How can I fix this error?
Ralf

1Hello Ralf
Thanks for reporting this.
We were able to reproduce the message on the Vantage demo site using Firefox, so this is not caused by your setup or by the font file being missing.
The warning comes from the internal metadata of the vantage-icons font file itself. Firefox reports that the font’s OS/2 table contains an invalid sTypoLineGap value and automatically corrects it to 0 when loading the font.
In short:
– The font file is present and loading correctly.
– This is a browser warning about the font metadata.
– It is usually harmless if the icons are still displaying normally.
If you are not seeing any missing icons or layout problems, this can generally be treated as a low-severity console warning. The proper fix on our side would be to regenerate or replace the vantage-icons font files with corrected metadata. We’ll attend to that in the next theme update.
Cheers
Andrew
