WordPress newbie. Dreamweaver knowledge. Vantage Premium user. Memorial website for my son. I only want a sky background image, two slider buttons, one on the left and one on the right with link description showing. One button for linked to the first site I built and the other to a new site vantage theme layout site for him. In the middle of the two buttons I want two slider countup widgets, one how old he would be today and one how long he has been gone. We can do our best to advise how Vantage and WordPress might get you close to where you want to go.
1. Appearance > Customize > Page: Remove the page background image of the clouds.
2. Insert the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:
body { background-image: url("http://joshuasite.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/17737552.jpg"); } #main { background: transparent; } #colophon { display: none; }3. Go to Pages > Home and change the page template drop down menu in the right column to Full Width – No Page Title to remove the word home.
For the center column, you’ll need to go the plugin route there. You’ll need to find a plugin that can handle the countup and either insert that functionality via a shortcode in a Text widget or via a widget if the plugin has one to offer.
