Vantage Headline widget

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi. I think it would really come in handy to add a url option with the vantage Headline widget.

The style would stay the same except now if a url is added it will be also a link.

    Hi Luc BJF Trudel

The Vantage Headline widget can currently parse a url in HTML format as follows:

    <a href="http://google.com">Google.com</a>

Let us know if you need any further help with that.

    Hello Andrew,

I tried the Vantage headline widget first and it didn’t work.

I then tried the siteorigin Headline widget and that one worked.

However, The default anchor style comes with it with the underline. I tried to add text-decoration:none; in the widget css but that didn’t work.

    Again, thanks.

    Ok.

got it to work now. Headline

somehow the text-decoration would not work inline.
It works when I put it in the widget CSS styles box.

    <a href="http://google.com" style="text-decoration:none;color:#444444">Headline</a>

I had forgottent to add the square brackets...

There might be other CSS that’s winning over inline styles.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, we have a new Headline widget out, it’s part of our Widgets Bundle plugin:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

I just tested it now, it will accept a URL in both fields and has a few nice options for things like color, fonts etc. Pretty much all the things we previously used Custom CSS for.
