Hello – As before, I’m enjoying my Vantage theme. I’m a real newcomer to any type of web development. I was hoping to have an image appear at the “top” (below the header, above the most recent post) on my Posts page.
The idea behind this is that the ‘branding’ for the blog on my site is slightly different than the rest of the site’s sections.
I was hoping to achieve this with PageBuilder, but the Posts page appears not to allow any type of non-code-based modifications (beyond what can be done in the Appearance>ThemeSettings>Blog area.
Any tips or help on this would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help with this!
Hi Dstheiss
Thanks for reaching out.
Head over to Settings > Reading and de-select your Blog page so that no posts page is selected.
Go to Pages > Blog or whatever your posts page is called.
Use the Page Builder tab to insert a Post Loop widget. Set the Post Loop template to Blog.
You’re now free to insert content around the Post Loop as required. You could also insert a Meta Slider below the menu using the Page Slider drop down menu in the right column.
As always, Andrew, thanks for the quick and excellent help. That solved the issue and now the “blog” looks the way I want it to. Brilliant.
Thanks again,
Dave
Awesome :) Glad to hear that did the trick.
All the best with your site.
