Vantage – Adding WPS alert to the top of the page

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

I’m very inexperienced with wp ant themes.

I would like to add a WPS Alert notification to the top of my page using vantage, how can I do this?

Their doc say to either use

or

[wps-alerts-activity]

    Hi Marius

The easiest would be to add the shortcode to a Text widget in the header widget area at Appearance > Widgets > Header.

    [wps-alerts-activity]

You could also add it to the Sidebar widget area if you’re using the Default page template on your pages.

Thanks. I tried this, but there is some problems.

If I add it to the header it does not appear the best place. It substitute the page slogan. The ideal placement would have been on them menu with the pages right next to the search icon. Any way to achieve that?

It’s a bit more customisation than usual but you could try the child theme that I uploaded here:

Thread: How to move custom Menu Icons to the right

Keep in mind that activating a child theme will cause Appearance > Customize and Menu settings to reset. So test things out, if you’re happy then redo those settings.
