Vantage 1.6.1 no Customization

Hi SiteOrigin,

I’m running different sites (all from our company) with Vantage Theme and I never had any problems until installing the latest Vantage Theme 1.6.1 …. I know 1.6.2 is the latest right now.

Since then, I can’t Customize the theme if I don’t deactivate most of the plugins. I’ve only installed a few core plugins like:
• BackWPup
> deactivated

• Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
> deactivated

Captcha by BestWebSoft
> deactivated

Contact Form by BestWebSoft
> deactivated

CryptX
> deactivated

Head, Footer and Post Injections
> activated

Meta Slider
> activated

Page Builder by SiteOrigin
> activated

SiteOrigin CSS
> activated

SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
> activated

If I activate the “Contact Form” for example, customization will be impossible. But not with all of the six sites I’m runing. Sometimes it does work sometimes it doesn’t.

However: I think the Vantage Theme” is responsible for the problems. Any ideas? Updating to 1.6.2?

Hi Andi,
What happens if you try and customize Vantage? Nothing or a blank preview panel? If either, it sounds like you’ve reached the memory limit. You need to apply a pretty hands on fix to resolve this issue. This article would be a good read as it’ll outline how to change it. You’ll need to edit wp-config.php. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend asking your hosting provider for help with editing this file.

thanks alot for your advice… I increased the memory limit as you asked me to do and the problems are gone! Great!
