Using video not YouTube or Vimeo

I see there are 2 different widgets for displaying video. I would like the video content to originate from my website not from YouTube or Vimeo. I am trying to use the Video (not Youtube/vimeo) widget but I cannot figure out where to find the Video ID. Is there any tutorial for using this widget?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Larmahil,

I would recommend using the SiteOrigin Video Player (added by the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle – can’t see it? Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets and activate it) to add your locally hosted video. The SiteOrigin Video Player will give you the option of an Externally Hosted video or a Self Hosted video – select Self Hosted. You won’t need to know the video id or anything like that, simply add the video using the standard WordPress Add Media interface.
