    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Laavid,

To be honest, I’m not too sure what you’re asking.

    Are you asking:

    • Are you planning on changing how the theme works anytime soon?

No. Every single change with Vantage we make we consider backwards compatibility. We don’t want someone to update the theme and have their website look completely different.

    • If the user decides to randomly change theme, will I lose my theme settings?

No. We retain theme settings. The only case where this would matter is if the user decides not to change the theme back to Vantage.

Hopefully, this helps. If it doesn’t, could you please clarify what you’re asking.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Laavid,

Yes. The free is responsive in every sense but the menu. Please check if your responsive layout is enabled by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceTheme Settings and then ensure the Responsive Layout setting is enabled. Then navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder. Open the layout tab and ensure that Responsive Layout is enabled.

Please note that Vantage was designed mobile first so the mobile version will look very similar to the desktop version. If you would like me to confirm if it’s displaying as it should please send me a public URL to your website. If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

Please ensure that you’ve cleared your cache after making any of the above-mentioned changes.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Laavid,

    :)

As you’re now a Vantage Premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on this page. Please reference this thread.

By editing CSS do you mean the page at WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS? If so, that CSS will remain after an update. If you’ve directly edited the theme those will be lost on theme update but not on WordPress update.

Your plugins will be fine unless they’re not compatible with the latest version. Be sure to update SiteOrigin Page Builder and the SiteOrgin Widgets bundle as they had compatibility patches released before the release of the latest version of WordPress.
