I love this theme and have used it for several sites. The problem is that our site is agonizingly slow in China, as it’s blocked by state firewalls. Apparently, calls to Google for scripts and fonts can really slow it down, as Google is blocked.
Is it possible for me to use a modified version of this theme on a Chinese-specific site that eliminates Google scripts/fonts? Or should I ditch it entirely and find a better theme for my needs? (Open to suggestions here…)

Thanks for reaching out.
The first six font choices at Appearance > Customize > Theme Design > Fonts are non-Google Fonts. If you need to use a font other than those, let me know which one and I’ll prepare a little Custom CSS for you to use.
