Using Post Carousel for Media Type

Hi All,
I am trying to use the post carousel to display media (images) but I cannot get it to work, maybe I just don’t understand what this is for so it is not possible to use it like this.

Here what I do:
1) Add Post Carousel Widget
2) Edit
3) On Build Post Query (red corner says 42, asI have 42 images)
4) Click preview – PROBLEM ONE: the 42 images appears as a black box
5) Click Build post Query
6) Post type already previusly selected ti Media
7) Click Select post
8) Start typing in Add Posts – PROBLEM TWO: nothing appears

How to I select images?

And for the black box I know how for posts I need to set the featured image… but how can I do this for images?

    Hi Cimos,

    Unfortunately, this widget isn’t set up for this. It relies on displaying the featured image and currently doesn’t support the media post type. I’ll log it as a feature request.

    I guess it is not that important, at least for me.

    Any way I can get posts of a particular type/category?

    Hi Cimos,

    Yes, open the SiteOrigin Post Carousel and then click Build Posts Query. Type the name of your category into the taxonomy and select it. For a specific post type, select it from the post type drop down.
