Using Page Builder Rows & Columns in Custom Loop

Have a custom taxonomy and corresponding template page for. Want to incorporate Page Builder’s row/column features in the loop for that template, but not sure what the correct approach is. Currently having to use the EBS Shortcode plugin to achieve columns, but now I have 2 plugins for the same purpose.

Sorry if this is already in the documentation somewhere, but can’t seem to find examples.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hey Kyle

As long as your custom template is using

    the_content

you should be able to enable Page Builder for the custom post type at SettingsPage Builder.

Thanks for the reply, but I think you misunderstood the question. For example, I have a custom post type or taxonomy with custom fields and want to have a template use the grid in a template.

An example might be a loop that displays all team members in a loop which is pulled from a Team custom post type. It would show the team member’s picture in the left column then name, title, and bio (which are custom fields) in the right column. One team member per row. The page’s editor would essentially be blank but the page template set to a custom ‘team-members.php’ template, or generated from a custom shortcode.

In short, I was wondering if there is some documentation on shortcodes that can create the grid Page Builder uses or a set of CSS classes that could be use with divs to create the structure, similar to what some Twitter Bootstrap shortcode plugins use.

Let me know if you need further clarification. Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for clearing that up. Page Builder, as far as I know, can’t be outputted using a shortcode, it also isn’t possible to leverage the Page Builder grid system in the manner you’re describing above.

We’re launching a product called SiteOrigin Premium quite soon. That’ll include a custom post type builder that would be super helpful for what you’re doing. Basically, integrating a post type builder with Page Builder functionality. I don’t have an exact launch date yet other than soon.
