Using a Hyphen in an Accordion Title

I’m trying to create a menu that will function somewhat like a table of contents pointing to panels of an accordion.

When I create the accordion (using SO Premium) and select ‘Use Anchor Tags in URL’ then I cannot use a hyphen in the title for any of the accordion panels.

The URL becomes url-encoded to include %e2%80%93 where the hyphen should be. Then I cannot create a link to that accordion section.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Are you using the latest version of SiteOrigin Premium (1.5.4) and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle (1.14.1)? If not, please try updating to see if that helps.

If you are using the latest version and it’s not working, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Hi Alex. Thanks for your reply. I figured out what was going on.

I had copied the text over from Microsoft Word. As you may know, Word will replace a regular hyphen with an elongated one as you type. That is what got copied over!

When I replaced those characters with regular hyphens then the URL’s work perfectly.

I apologize that I didn’t provide you with a public example. I am working on an intranet site.

I will mark this as resolved. Thank you again for a great product.
