Use SiteOrigin Pagebuilder side by side with Gutenberg

Hi,

All of our webpages are currently build in the Pagebuilder of SiteOrigin. I would like that all pages are converted to Gutenberg and this would become the native editor. All existing content build in the Pagebuilder of SiteOrigin should then be stored in the Siteorigin Layout block, as showed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC05MXR6LMg&ab_channel=SiteOrigin Is this possible?

I have searched the forum and the support articles, but I cannot get this to work. For some reason I cannot switch to the block editor on existing pages while keeping the Pagbuilder plugin active. If I disable the Pagebuilder plugin, the Block editor appears, but all the layouts of existing pages are lost.

Thanks in advance,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tim

    Thanks for reaching out.

It’s possible to manually migrate a Page Builder layout into a Layout Block using the following steps:

    – Download the page layout via LayoutsDownload Layout within Page Builder.
    – With the JSON file on your desktop click on the Revert to Editor button and clear the entire page contents from the Text tab.
    – Save the page. The page should revert to the Block Editor. Alternatively, if you’re using the Classic Editor use the option provided to open the page in the Block Editor.
    – Once in the Block Editor, insert a SiteOrigin Layout Block and import the JSON file via LayoutsImport/ExportUpload Layout.
