use a plugin to display a post(s) on a regular page

using pagebuilder in frontier theme. have 7 different pages where I want to display the recent post from the category that fits that page (this would be in the body not in a sidebar). Wanted to use one of the wordpress post display plug-ins but can’t figure out how to make it work, and don’t have any back-up programmers on this project that I can run to for help. So HELP!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Atdstaff

    Thanks for reaching out.

Assuming you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle installed, one method is as follows:

    1. Install: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-for-siteorigin/.
    2. Go to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets and enabled the Inked Blog widget.\
    3. Go to one of the pages in question and insert a widget, click on the Widgets for SiteOrigin link in the left bar and insert the Inked Blog widget.
    4. Within the widget, click Build posts query and in the Taxonomies field start searching for the category you’d like to display.
    5. Set the widget styling up as required using the rest of the available settings.

    Hope that helps :)
