    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ibravos,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If the above doesn’t help; would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ibravos,

Actually. In hindsight, after reading your last comment I noticed that you mentioned that you had issues during the plugin conflict. Specifically that you had to restore. As such, the only real way for me to resolve this issue moving forward to is an account with admin permissions. I know it might sound like a lot but that test needs to be run (as well as a few others), and I can do it safely so it won’t affect your website.

The most likely cause of this issue is plugin conflict.

Hello, I had to restore the web, that enabling plugins and activate the jetpack gave me error. and Restoration Projects website could not do it because the database had been Customised by the new version of wordpress .
    I’m a mess!

    Now I make the user.

    Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ibravos,

We’re not sure why this happened but you’ve pretty much got an issue with the structure of the layout builder. To resolve this issue please navigate to the layout builder that breaks on update, open it and click prebuilt. Then click import / export and export the layout. Then upload the exported layout to that exact same widget and replace the contents. Then, you’re able to update without issue.

I’m unable to log in for some reason or I would have already reimported the layout.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ibravos,

Here’s a gif that should help you understand what to do.

This was able to resolve the issue for me due to the layout correcting itself on import.
