Hello!
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or not. I was updating the plugin to the most recent update, and my site just went bonkers. I cannot access my site at all, unless I go in through the Cpanel. It says things like “failed to open stream” and “no such file/directory.”
Now, I know I could remove the plugin entirely through my Cpanel, but that would then delete all of my content on my entire site, yes? How do I go about fixing this or what do I do? I’m kind of panicking here.

Hi Acdesign,
This issue sounds like a general server related issue rather than a plugin update issue so I’m not too sure of the cause behind it. Oh, wait, I just had a look at your website and it looks like you managed to resolve this issue. Is this the case?
Regardless, to answer your other question, no. Deleting the plugin files will not erase your content. It will however temporarily result in a basic version being displayed until you’ve set up the plugin again.
Hello!
Yes, I got it fixed thankfully!
I guess the site was going through a maintenance mode during my plugin update and caused it all to crash. I found a fantastic tutorial about changing your plugin file name in the Cpanel to plugins.deactivate to access the login screen again and to deactivate all the plugins. From there I updated the plugin and activated it and everything is ready to go!!
Thank you for responding to my question though. I appreciate it a bunch!
