I want to update a link on one of my pages with SiteOrigin Pagebuilder, but after confirming I’ll get:”Oops! That page can’t be found.
It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”
I’ve already tried dectivating all plugins but SiteOrigins and ofcourse clearing my chache, but this didn’t work.
Also, even if I don’t change anything and just click on “View Changes” it gives the same page.
Does anybody have a clue how to solve this problem?
Hi Esther
Hopefully, you’ve made progress since posting, if not.
1. The first test would be the one you’ve already tried. Clear any caching/optimization plugins then deactivate all plugins except those authored by SiteOrigin and try again.
2. Try going to Permalinks, don’t change anything and click Save.
3. Could this be a ModSecurity hosting issue? Try reaching out to your hosting company. Let them know you’ve been experiencing 404 errors when saving pages in your WordPress site and you believe ModSecurity could be the cause. Your hosting company will then be able to review their ModSecurity logs and hopefully, adjust their rules to account for the false positives, assuming they can see ModSecurity blocking requests.
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your reply. Your third suggestion was quite right. Our hosting company adjusted one rule and now we are able to modify and update our website again.
Thanks again. Best Regards,
Esther
Super, really glad to hear you’ve made progress. All the best with your website.
