Updating latest Page Builder failed and crashes WP

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Today I updated Page Builder 2.5.3 to 2.5.6 and during the installation I got a error message that one file failed to unpack(?) or install and after that the whole screen was filled with chinese sign. I am using Vantage Premium 2.6 with a Child theme and WP 4.8. Anyone else? Solutions?

    Hi Hassesetter,

Are you unable to access your WP Admin or your website at all?

This error sounds like WordPress failed to install the update – which sadly sometimes happens. You’ll need to FTP into your website and navigate to your WordPress directory. Please navigate to wp-content/plugins/ and delete siteorigin-panels. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend getting in contact with your hosting provider.

By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard (please refer to the support tab). Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.
