Updating jQuery on Vantage theme

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hey, I’m a happy owner of Vantage premium and lately have encountered numerous plugin issues. I’ve been adviced to update jQuery of my wordpress, which, as far as I’m concerned, is attached usually as source in the theme.

I looked in the functions.php, also in the header and footer files, but couldn’t find how it’s managed on this theme and how should I approach it. Could you please provide me with information how to proceed with that?

Also – using plugins as jQuery Updater crashes the Meta Slider, so It’s out of the question. I need to control the version I’m using.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jakub

Thanks for your support. Sorry to hear you’ve run into hassles. Vantage unfortunately doesn’t bundle jQuery. Themes on WordPress.org are required to use the core version that is bundled with WordPress. The include URL will look something like this:

    /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.2

    wp-includes in the WordPress core.
