Hi there,

After updating to site origin, the hero images only display as a narrow band and the text on them disappeared too. We cleared the browser’s cache stuff, issue is still there. Could somebody please help?

Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lcsillu,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hey Alex,

Thank you for your reply. At the moment the site is password protected (because it is not launched yet). Is there a way to give you the logins in a private message?

    Thanks,
    Csilla

    Hi Lcsillu,

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lcsillu,

Thanks. This looks like a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If that doesn’t help, please try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hey Alex,

Thanks for this. Unfortunately disabling the plugins and clearing all my caches didn’t solve the problem. :(
We don’t really want to change the theme, as we are worried that it might break the site and we loose all the work..

Can we just go back to the old version of Site Origin, it seemed to work fine before.. Do you think it would help?

    Thank you,

    Csilla

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Csilla,

I would recommend doing a backup and then change to a different theme. That way if worse comes to worse and things go wrong, you can simply restore the backup.

You can use something like WP Rollback to roll back to a previous version – I don’t recommend it however.
