Updated to premium now my home page looks different from my preview

My question would be what the heck do I do to get it looking like it did before the upgrade….. in the edit page it looks fine.
Help!

Also, when I post on FB the preview is a backslash with my website name….
I am certain these are both simple issues but not to me…. yet!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Frank

Thanks for your support and sorry to hear about the hassle. If you designed your home page at Appearance > Home Page can you confirm the toggle switch at the top of that page is set to ON?

    Hi, I Work Here

Facebook preview is looking good my side. Any change on your side?

No, the switch was off! Sooo…. things should now look when updated as they do in preview?
    Because that sure wasn’t happening.

I looked at the FB and re-posted it but, for some reason, I don’t get a picture preview like I do other sites however I was able to get rid of the weird looking preview…. is it because my site is new and hasn’t made the google rounds yet or is it just that I am still in kindergarten with this venture!
    Jajaja, poco a poco….

Thanks for the toggle help. It looks like I am actually using my Front Page as my home page rather than the home page…. but that doesn’t appear the same in editor as it does published.

I guess I need to figure out why pages look different in editor than they do updated.

And, you are welcome for the support…. I believe in paying people for their work.

    Hi, I Work Here

I’d be more than happy to login and take a look at the editor vs published challenge. If you’d like me to do that then please, see the instructions to follow. Thanks :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Soulpatch

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Thank you.
    I appreciate that.
I am actually spending the next few days going through all your tutorials so that is going to, I imagine, clarify many things for me as I add to the site.
    Saludos,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks :)

You’re using Pages > Home. That’s great. The contents of that page look the same as your home page. Is that still not the case for you?

No, on the edit page the line that starts with "Are you ready to drastically cut……" starts directly under the logo with 9 lines of print under the logo.

On the preview and published page I only see two lines of print under the logo.

I wonder what I have to do to have the edit page look the same as the preview and published pages. Is it my computer size? The responsive theme?

    Hi, I Work Here

Ok with you now. Vantage isn’t using a editor stylesheet so it’s entirely possible you’ll see small differences like that. I recommend building this page in Page Builder for more control. At Pages > Home, click over to the Page Builder tab. Page Builder will ask if you want to copy your content over, say yes. From there you can build a more precise grid and insert Visual Editor widgets as required to populate. Give it a go.

Hokey dokey, I'll give it a whirl later on….. I gotta get my ass out the door for an 8km run!…….and then a beer.
Thanks Andrew….. interesting about page builder and that makes sense.

For sure :) Let me know if you need a hand with that. Enjoy the run and beer!
