Updated to Premium and Save Button is not working properly

I was having problems updating the theme by clicking update or paid already? buttons.
So instead, I added the files manually.
I activated the theme and everything seemed to be working great.
I changed a bunch of items in the Theme Settings; however, every time, it reverts to everything unchecked and not changed.
I had to revert back to the Normal theme.

    Hi Melissa

    Sorry to hear about the hassle.

    When auto-upgrading did you go to Appearance > Vantage Premium, click Already Paid? top right and enter your order number in the field provided?

    Hey Andrew, there was no error message. Whenever I clicked save, it would reset all the options. I tried inputting my order number multiple times but it wouldn’t work/save.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    When you manually updated did you switch to another theme, delete Vantage and then install the premium ZIP from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme?

    When I tried updating the theme from the normal vantage, it got hung up and was in error. Because of this the maintenance page was up so I had to reinstall the theme manually in ftp. Since I was already there. I also moved the premium files in the theme folder. Then I activated the premium theme.

    Ok got you. There is a version number change in style.css and functions.php so a few more things need to happen beyond adding the premium folder.

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Thanks. We’re unfortunately frozen in Maintenance Mode after trying to run the update. Do you have FTP access? If so, please can you login to the WordPress root and delete a file called:

    .maintenance

    I’ll take another look once we have access back. Apologies for the hassle. Here is some info on why this happens sometimes:

    Apologies again for the hassle. The server unfortunately appears slow at processing new files which adding to the delay. Please can you manually delete the “vantage” folder at:

    /wp-content/themes/

    and let me know when that’s done.

    Mmm ok perhaps hold off on that. I’m trying to delete from within the admin right now.

    It’s perhaps worth looking into this hosting setup. Installing a plugin or uploading a ZIP. All are extremely slow. An email to your hosts might be the first step in resolving the problem.

    Yes, please. I’ve tried twice now. We’re running into resource problems with the server, that’s why the install can’t complete.

    Please un-zip the theme (premium version) and upload to wp-content/themes/. Overwrite if there is an existing folder.

    There is one premium version. The ZIP file is labelled:

    vantage.2.4.2.zip

    Do you have a copy of that?

    When you un-zip vantage.2.4.2.zip you’ll be left with a folder named “vantage”. That’s the only folder we want to upload to the theme’s directory.

    The setup on the server unfortunately still isn’t correct.

    Name Description
    vantage-3 Stylesheet is missing. Delete

    To confirm, we’re in this tough position because of hosting limitations. Ideally we’d get that sorted and could run a normal automated or ZIP upload install.

    If you’d like I can take a look at what’s happening on the server, if you’d like that, please send through FTP. Private Reply button is in the bottom right.

    Alternatively, please use this form and your purchasing PayPal email address: https://siteorigin.com/orders/ to re-send your order confirmation email. In there is a ZIP download link. Download the ZIP to your desktop and un-zip it.

    Delete all / any “vantage” folders in the theme’s directory. Upload the new version.

    Yew! I think we are there.

    Check all is well then once you’re done go to Settings > WP Maintenance Mode and de-activate it to go live again. You can remove that plugin if you’d like. Just thought I’d put it up while we were working.
