Hello,
I do hope you can help? I have just updated my Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin. I am using the GreatMag theme and it is now displaying incorrectly and not working.
I am trying to get an old copy of the plugin to see if i can install that and to see if that then works?
Please can you advise? Or advise why the error might be occuring.
The website is www.harrisonsjourney.com
Please help?
Thanks
Richard
Hi Richard,
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
You can use WP Rollback to revert to a previous version of the plugin.
Many thanks for the reply. I did us rollback. I also found the conflict –
which was with the Insert Headers and Footers plugin!
I have had to disable that, so if that could be fixed that would be a winner!
Hi Richard,
That’s odd. We commonly use and recommend that plugin and there are no known issues with it. I just tried that plugin and it worked without issue for me. Hm. I suspect something else is going on here and that plugin is just the straw that broke the camels back. Please disable all non-SiteOrigin plugins expect Insert Headers and Footers. Does this issue remain? if so, please try enabling each plugin one by one until the issue returns. When it does, disable all non SiteOrigin Plugins and that one specific plugin. Does the issue remain? If so, I suspect you’re experiencing a memory limit issue.
You need to apply a pretty hands on fix to fix that. This article would be a good read as it’ll outline how to change it. You’ll need to edit wp-config.php. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend asking your hosting provider for help with editing this file.
