HI Guys
I have been updating the vantage theme which had some customisations. I have managed to sort a good section of the css to look like the original site and updated to latest theme but just can’t seem to find the files that deal with the contact us button that sticks to the right hand side. I know I must have change the code form the original site. I just don’t know where to look to find the files that control it.
was hoping to activate it again as Im sure I’ve changed it somehow.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Gary

Hi cdcglasgow
Thanks for your support.
I took a quick look at the CSS setup of your project. The child theme stylesheet looks pretty big. Just a quick reminder that you only need your modified selectors in there. It’ll introduce complications if you have a complete copy of the parent CSS file contained in the child theme CSS file. Apologies if you’re already doing this.
The easiest way to find the selectors you’re looking for are to inspect the element in question and copy the styles that you need over to your child theme stylesheet. We cover this method in our video here: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/
Are you asking about the button on the contact page at the bottom of the right column? If so that’s:
HI Andrew
Thanks for getting back. I have reduced the CSS with diff software and replaced the file.
At the very beginning of this project we had noticed a button appeared at the side of the page round about where the slider is. It was a contact us button and was orange and had a rocket icon also in the box.
Do you know how we can activate this again. I was thinking that it was a plug-in that we altered and when I stripped the bespoke code out the site during the changeover it may have appeared and the n disappeared.
Do you ever recall seeing such an icon and contact us button. we are basically trying to tuck in nicely a contact us option to the side of the screen. Currently it sites in the slider as found here:

Thanks
Glad to hear you made progress here. If that button sat outside of the content container then it does sound like it was driven by a plugin. I’m unfortunately not sure which.
