Update of theme

Hi, there is a theme update available on my site and i don’t know if i can just do the update or if i have to do anything else. The update could delete the changes that i did on the theme?

    Hi Igor,

    If you’ve made any code changes to the theme either by directly editing the files or by using WP AdminAppearanceEditor, those changes will be lost unless they were specifically made through a child theme. Adjusting your theme settings (which is done using the customizer) will be retained.

    Before proceeding, it’s always recommended that you do a backup before updating themes and plugins

    Hi Igor,

    We strongly recommend updating.
    In the short term, you miss on bug fixes and additional features. In the Long term, it’s possible the version you’re using may be incompatible with future versions of WordPress – compatibility issues are fixed in theme updates.
