Update Error re Widgets Bundle

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

The widget does not render when editing a page.
When I attempted to update, I received an error. Deactivate/reactivate via admin page was unsuccessful.
I then attempted to remove and re-install via admin page. Removed via admin. When I try to reinstall, I receive another error saying that content already exists at so-widgets-bundle. The plugin shows as active via wordpress page. I receive an error in trying to remove/update/deactivate via wordpress.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

    Hi John,

This is a sign of a failed WordPress update. To resolve this issue you’re going to have to manually remove the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle via FTP and then reinstall it. Please FTP into your website and navigate to your WordPress directory. Then navigate to wp-content/plugins and delete so-widgets-bundle. If you need help with doing this, I would reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.

Once removed, please navigate to WP AdminPluginsAdd New and search for and install SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.
