Update breaking plugin

When I just did the most recent plugin update, the page builder portion in the WYSIWYG goes away and it resorts to default WordPress blog editor. Which would be fine, but all of my styles go away in the paragraph. More concerning, when I turn off the page builder plugin ( b/c using default editor is just fine ) my post content doesn’t show up at all.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Michael,

Preface: Do not save the broken page as you could indirectly remove the page builder structure.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue introduced as a result of the new update. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Hey Alex, Thanks so much for the response. Unfortunately that didn’t work. I forgot to mention that I have the site orgins widget bundle plugin as well. That needs an update too. When I turn that off or update, it breaks my site too.

I am at a stand still check mate because of this plugin. I can’t update or remove. I had to restore my entire app to pre-update to get my site to behave normally. Not sure how long I can avoid updating the plugins

Please let me know what you need from me to help me resolve this issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Michael,

So just to confirm, the issue remains even if only SiteOrigin Plugins are active and a default theme is present? If this is the case, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? Please note that one of plugins will need to be updated so I can inspect the resulting issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Michael,

Very sorry for the delay. Okay so I’ve run a few tests and in my opinion, this isn’t related to the plugin update. Instead, much more serious and unrelated. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but you’ve been hacked.
