Hello!
1. I would like to reduce spacing between my widgets on the right sidebar AND at the bottom of my articles here :
2. I have enabled the wordpress like button but it doesn’t show up, how can I make it appear at the end of my articles ?
Thank you, love the theme :)
Sorry the link did not work, here’s the spacing I’m talking about : http://sundaystormsvoyage.fr/wp-content/uploads/spacing-1.jpg
Hi Sundaystormsvoyage,
1. You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.
How does that look?
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
2. What plugin did you install to do this?
Thank you so much for your reply! It worked perfectly ;)
1/ Could I also reduce the space between the different elements in my sidebar?
2/ I have the Jetpack plugin installed to add the wordpress like button.
Hi Sundaystormsvoyage,
1. I’d like to help you with this, but unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved.
We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.
If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.
2. To confirm, have you enabled the Likes functionality? I ask as you need to enable the specific functionality for it to appear. If you have, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hello Alex,
1. Okay thanks so much, I’ll consider it!
2. Yes I’ve enabled the functionnality, it should look like this : http://sundaystormsvoyage.fr/wp-content/uploads/dk.jpg
but it looks like this http://sundaystormsvoyage.fr/wp-content/uploads/knk.jpg (live preview : http://sundaystormsvoyage.fr/road-trip-usa-arches-national-park/)
Thank you!
Hi Sundaystormsvoyage,
Please add the following CSS to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS:
How does that look?
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
Hello Alex,
Thanks for the reply ! I’m sorry I think I had trouble expressing what my issue is. My issue isn’t that it’s not centered it’s that the wordpress like button (https://jetpack.com/support/likes/) isn’t showing even though it’s enabled. (the one in red http://sundaystormsvoyage.fr/wp-content/uploads/d4k.jpg, it doesn’t appear in any of my articles.)
It’s showing when I switch back to my older theme, so I’m thinking there might be a css line that’s making it disappear ? I don’t know…
Hi,
Ah. Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a potential bug in our issue tracker. To confirm, does this confirm if Jetpack is the only activated plugin? I know that may sound odd but I need to be able to rule out a plugin conflict (regardless of the theme conflict).
Hi Alex! I’m not sure what you mean by “To confirm, does this confirm if Jetpack is the only activated plugin?”
Seeing as this button works with other themes and I have not installed any plugins since I got Unwind, I don’t think it could be because of another plugin.
Hi Sundaystormsvoyage,
Sorry, I meant: To confirm, does this happen if Jetpack is the only activated plugin?
I know it seems unlikely, but it’s very possible for it to be affected by other plugins as not all plugins work the same in every theme.
Hi Alex,
I’ve tried disabling all plugins -but Jetpack- and the like button still isn’t showing.
Hi Sundaystormsvoyage,
We’ve identified the cause of this issue and it should be fixed in the next SiteORigin Unwind update.
Great, thanks for the help! Looking forward to the update.
