Unwind one-page website with Blog Page

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hello, I am a super newbie at WP. I am using Unwind and trying to make a one-page website with a Blog page, I have watched the tutorial several times but it uses the Gym page as an example and there is not a blog page included. I can not figure out how to put a Blog page in the one-page menu. Right now I have one page that “jumps” to the parts I want eg. About Us and Contact Us using custom links with #row-***** but my Blog page is still separate…as in I have a 2 page website.

This creates a problem with the other menu items which are all linked to Home-page because when I am in the Blog-page, and I click one of my Menu items, it takes me no where. Thank you for listening to my newbie ramblings and thanks for the help.

    Hi Candace,

You can allow your one-page links to work on all pages by prepending a forward slash to the custom link. In other words, this:

    Becomes this:

Does that make sense? This will allow for the links to work when not on the homepage (ie. on a blog post for example).

If you would like to have everything be on the same page (including posts and the posts themselves – absolutely zero navigation), you’ll need to use a dedicated one-page blog widget. Unfortunately, I don’t know of one at this time. Sorry mate. :(
