Unwanted blue layer on homepage

When trying to click on the homepage this blue layer comes up and no matter where you click it redirects you to the first post. How can I fix this please?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi E Adviser

    Thanks for reaching out, great to have you here.

    The problem is arising from a conflict between your Events Planner plugin and our Post Carousel widget which displays your posts near the bottom of the page. Events Planner adds the following CSS:

    .overlay{
        background:transparent url(images/overlay.png) repeat top left;
        position:fixed;
        top:0px;
        bottom:0px;
        left:0px;
        right:0px;
        z-index:100;
    }

    Events Planner should ideally be prefixing the class name overlay with another class to make it more specific. Right now if the theme or any plugin has the class name “overlay” in anything, the Events Planner plugin will see that and use it. Not ideal.

    If you’d like to keep Events Planner you could remove the Carousel widget on the home page and try our newer SiteOrigin Post Carousel widget, part of our Widgets Bundle plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. It might not suffer the same conflict.
