Hello,

I created thread few days ago at

Page Builder No Longer Loading on Some Pages

Andrew kindly replied but when I try to reply (over the last few days), my reply/comment does not show saved in the thread. Perhaps it’s an error on my end?

But here is my reply/comment meant for the thread above.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Andrew,

Apologies in advance if I’ve posted this reply more than once. For some reason my reply hasn’t been showing as posted over the last few days…

Yes, with Classic Editor Plugin activated, the problem pages load in the text tab.

Please see screenshot of one of the page here: https://imgur.com/a/YAwaDCh

Thank you for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, sorry about the posting hassle.

The screenshot shows a page that was designed in the Block Editor. Depending on how many pages are like this, you could manually migrate back to the Classic Editor. To do that you would:

    1. Open the page depicted in the screenshot in the Block Editor.
    2. In the Page Builder, Layout Block go to Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout.
    3. Open the page in the Classic Editor, clear the contents from the Text tab. Switch to the Page Builder tab and import the JSON file from Layouts > Import/Export > Import Layout.

RE: 1. Open the page depicted in the screenshot in the Block Editor. … I don’t see an option to open in Block Editor. Just Visual, Text and Pagebuilder tab appear.

When I deactivate the Classic Editor plugin and go back into the page, it switches to Block Editor.
The menu items are present but I have to hover over them to see what they are.

Also, I don’t see an option that lets me do step 2…
    2. In the Page Builder, Layout Block go to Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout.

Thank you Andrew for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

To edit a page in the Block Editor you can either deactivate the Classic Editor plugin or you can set up the Classic Editor to allow for editing in both editors. There is a link in the right column when editing a page to open in the Block Editor.

Once in the Block Editor, change from preview to editing mode to get access to the SiteOrigin Layout Block.

Please see screenshot here: https://imgur.com/gLGqLGP . – Click the Resolve button to try and fix the issue there.

ok, here is what I see

    1. I set up Classic Editor plugin to allow for editing in both editors…https://imgur.com/r5A4n0t

    2. When I hover over the page I get both Block and Classic Editor options..https://imgur.com/7Ji0Ggj

    3. When I click on Edit (Classic Editor), I see this…https://imgur.com/r0XFTck . If I click on Switch to Block Editor in the bottom-right corner, I see this…https://imgur.com/zEREnvn

    3. When I go back out to the Pages screen and click on Edit (Block Editor), I see this…https://imgur.com/2xxCTEf . If I click on the Preview button it shows a preview of the page on the front-end. What button do I click to change from preview to editing mode to get access to the SiteOrigin Layout Block? I don’t see that option.

Thank you for your help Andrew!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. In the Block Editor, have you tried using the Resolve button to fix the issue?

    Hi, I Work Here

Please, find an update for the Widgets Bundle here. Go to Plugins, deactivate and delete the Widgets Bundle. Install the ZIP file provided from PluginsAdd NewUpload PluginActivate. If it’s possible, open the impacted page before the recovery operation was attempted (this should be possible if the recovered page wasn’t saved) and see if the issue persists. Thanks.

Hi Andrew, I went through the steps below but the issue has not resolved. I even created a Staging version of the site and tried it but no luck. Are there any other possible solutions?

    Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

Please, could you set up login details for the staging site. Instructions below. Thanks.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Andrew, my apologies, I won’t be able to do that. But I think the issue may be deeper than the PageBuilder plugin, but rather jquery related as my WooCommerce Dashboard/Analytics won’t load either. W/C Dashboard tries to load but goes blank.

When I inspect the About page in chrome I get the following error in Inspect/Console…https://imgur.com/7B2Nz2b

When I inspect the WooCommerce Dashboard in chrome I get the following error in Inspect/Console…https://imgur.com/bTWaVzn

So it seems like a jquery conflict.

I installed “jquery updater” plugin to confirm we’re running jQuery 3.5.1 in WP.

I tested it on different browsers and the error persists. So not sure where to go from here.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the screenshots. Have we done a plugin conflict test yet? Sorry if I’ve missed where we’ve spoken about this. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin, does the console error persist in that state?

  14. 4 years, 1 month ago Prime Web Design

Yes, no worries. I just did another plugin conflict test now, using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin from WordPress.org.

I deactivated all plugins and themes accept Page Builder by Siteorigin. No improvement. please see screenshot…https://imgur.com/CA5PJ3F .

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. Please, could you repeat the test and confirm that the console error remains the same? I ask as there could be other issues causing the block data problem. We might separately see a change in the JavaScript console error.

Please, could you also check, on a new page with all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated and a default theme like Twenty Nineteen, do the console errors persist?

  16. 4 years, 1 month ago Prime Web Design

    Hi Andrew,

OK, no worries, I just repeated the test.

Deactivated all plugins except Page Builder and Default Theme: Twenty Twenty.

Here is what I see in JavaScript console error when in the About Page: https://imgur.com/ihTCEIL

Then, when I activate WooCommerce and go to WooCommerce Dashboard: https://imgur.com/1fEUHTR

    Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. Are there console errors if you activate only Twenty Twenty and WooCommerce?

  18. 4 years, 1 month ago Prime Web Design

With only WooCommerce and Twenty Twenty activated…

I get this when I go into the About page: https://imgur.com/KRTOprZ
    I get this in Inspect/Console (I don’t see an errors): https://imgur.com/OONpiW5

    I get this on WooCommerce/Dashboard: https://imgur.com/v1QTnVP
    I get this in Inspect/Console (I see errors): https://imgur.com/jllHhwT

    Thank you Andrew!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the details.

Resolving this issue https://imgur.com/jllHhwT would be a great starting point, just to rule out a general JavaScript issue that might also impact SiteOrigin plugins. This thread discusses the same issue https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-data-showing-console-errors/ but without much information provided in the way of a resolution. The only advice from that thread that I can see is to check that the WooCommerce plugin is up to date. Here is the issue again https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-admin/issues/2829 and again https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/25805.

Are you perhaps able to clone the site to a test site that we could access? It would be helpful if we could login and assist from there.

  20. 4 years, 1 month ago Prime Web Design

Yes, actually, I can have you log into the build version of the site before we migrated it. It’s the exact copy of the live site. How should I share the credentials? Thank you

Hi Andrew, I just sent it over to Private Snippet. Thank you for your help!
