Fatal error: Call to undefined function current_theme_supports() in /home/newbern7/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 148
I have tried deactivating the plugins and reinstall the theme in cPanel and have had no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Ladywarriors,
That’s odd. Were you doing anything at the time when the error started occurring?
To clarify, try disabling both the theme and all plugins to see if that helps.
If it doesn’t, you may need to try doing a reinstall of WordPress. Now, that article is typically used for a hacked website but the instructions also apply for a broken WordPress install.
Thanks Alex,
My hosting support, felt like it was a theme error, also. I went back made sure the plugins were deactivated and uninstalled both the theme and WordPress and reinstalled WordPress. That did the trick! I was able to get into wp-admin and reinstall the theme and its update and run any updates on any plugins that may have needed them. Double checked all plugins for compatability, deleted a few plugins and replaced with better ones. I am now up and running! Thanks for your guidance and speedy response.
