Unable to edit home page widgets after upgrade

Resolved 9 replies premiumthemetheme-vantage

Just upgraded to 2.0.6 and cannot edit the widgets on my home page properly.

The last row which contains the footer is kind of collapsed on the side, as per the screenshot.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Omar

    Hi MooMoo

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please check to see if you’re looking at a plugin conflict. This involves temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins and re-testing, if the issue resolves, re-activate your plugins one by one. After each activation, re-check the problem.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for the reply. I upgraded to Page Builder 2.0.7 to see if it fixed the problem, it did not.
I then deactivated all plugins and then reactivated the Page Builder and the problem still did not resolve the issue. The problem is the same. I do not believe the issue is related to a plugin conflict.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Omar

    Hi Omar

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us to take a look? Just send the details to [email protected]. Please be sure to reference this thread.

Alternatively, can you try roll back to 2.0.5 and see if that fixes the issue?

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for the reply. I have rolled back to 2.0.5 and it did not fix the problem.

I have not edited my home page in 3-6 months so I guess it may be incorrect to blame the latest update as I cannot tell you how long the problem has been there. I usually take updates within a week of them being released though.

Any other versions I can safely try to roll back to?

I have sent you details of a wordpress admin login.

    Thanks,
    Omar

Great, I’ll keep an eye out for them. We did a huge 2.0 release a few months back (mid-December 2014), so this is more than likely where your issues are coming in.

Seeing what’s going on will be the biggest help though.

From the looks of things, there was just a very narrow extra column on the right. I can’t quite remember how older versions of Page Builder handled narrow columns, but Page Builder 2.0 handles them by not letting you create them in the first place. Obviously it wasn’t able to do these checks because you created the page with an older version of Page Builder.

I edited the row and removed the extra narrow column, and it all seems to be working nicely now. Can you double-check that everything is in order?

Looks good. Thank you for taking a look at this Greg.
