Turning Off Comments

I’m having a hard time turning off comments from my pages. I’ve done what you normally have to do, but I don’t see any options to simply turn them off. Any help? Thanks!

    To turn off comments per page or post please see:

    https://siteorigin.com/basics/disable-wordpress-comments/

    That does need to be done each time unfortunately.

    Your global discussion settings can be found under the main Settings menu.
