Translation of the tag “Posted on”

Hello Everyone!

I am translating to portuguese the tags included in Vantage Theme. Everything woked well, except by the tag “Posted on” that has the following reference in “vantage.pot” file:

#: inc/template-tags.php:141
#, php-format
msgid “”
“Posted on %4$s<time class="updated" "
"datetime=""
msgstr "”

I think it is probably an error on the msgid resulting the theme not indentifying the tag.

Please, could you help me in this issue?

Thank you in advance

Ps.: Sorry for my bad English

    Hi Marcos

Thanks for reporting. I thought this challenge had been resolved. Sounds like there is still a problem. We’re on a big Vantage update run at the moment, lots being done. I’ll log this as a bug, it will get attended to for the next release.

Apologies for the hassle. Thanks again for letting us know.

    Hello SiteOrigin Team,

The problem returned on the v. 2.4.4 and not only in “Posted on” tag but also in “Continue reading”.

Please, could you help me in this issue?

    Thank you in advance

Could I perhaps try translating, even temporarily, using the Loco Translate plugin? It would help us resolve or find the problem. If that’s cool:

    1. Please, backup your current PO/MO files. I don’t think there will be any impact, but just to be safe.
    2. Please, create an account for us. Details to follow.

    Thanks

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Sincere apologies for the continued hassle. After digging further this afternoon I think that the function was updated and the pot file wasn’t updated. Could you perhaps try the following .pot file:

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/vantage.pot

And let me know how that one goes instead?

    Hi Andrew,

The “Posted on” tag is ok, but the “Continue reading” tag continues with the problem.

Can you please, check the field at Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog right at the bottom. You should be able to drop a translation in that field. Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

I am sorry. I hadn’t noticed this configuration before.

    It worked!

    Thank you very much.

It’s a new setting. So sorry for all the hassles. Glad to hear you’re sorted now. Thanks for being so patient.

    All the best.
