Translate with q-Translate X

7 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 7 years ago

I use the Page Builder on different sites of my clients, but sometimes they would like to have a Mulit language website.
Normally I use q-Translate X (not updated for over 3 years now, but on Github a new version is being developed).
The Page Builder plugin is not compatible with q-Translate X. Are you planning to make it work with q-Translate X ?

The muli language plugin I now use is Polylang, but I’m not happy with this plugin.
I requires to create different pages for all used languages, and with q-Translate X I can edit all languages from a single page.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Edwin.

    Hi Edwin

    Thanks for reaching out.

Polylang is still the free translation plugin we’d recommend using with Page Builder and WPML if you’re after a premium plugin. I believe WPML was working on getting inline translation working with Page Builder. I’ll check with Alex to see if that was completed. There isn’t a free plugin that I’m aware of that offers inline translation with Page Builder.

Hi :) A quick follow-up. WPML (premium option) is also using the regular page duplication method: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wpml-siteorigin/.

Too bad inline translation isn’t supported.
My client has a lot of pages and needs to duplicate all pages to multiple languages.

If I don’t us Pagebuilder the q-Translate plugin works fine, but because Pagebuilder uses Widgets inline translation doesn’t work.

Thanks for looking into my question.
