Transferred wordpress website from another host and now page builder isn’t working?

So I transferred my WordPress from one host to another by downloading all the files via FTP and downloaded the database. These were then transferred to my new host. At the time I didn’t think to use WordPress duplicator. I have now gone to edit my pages on my website and it won’t let me make any changes and at the moment Im just getting a list of icons that when I press do nothing. I have uninstalled and re-installed page builder plugin yet it is still not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack,

Sadly you’re likely going to have to do another migration. Basically, your migration failed due to the migration method not accounting for serialized data. We store each Page Builder powered page’s data in a serialized so this explains why said data isn’t working as desired. To clarify, how did you replace your previous URL in the database? Do you still have access to the migration files o the website to make another one?>

As you mentioned in your post, we highly recommend the use of excellent Duplicator plugin. It’s faster and will handle all sorts of data better than most typical migration methods.

Thank you for replying to my email, as it was a WordPress website on the domain I own I just transferred the domain and then uploaded the FTP files and imported the database that I had downloaded from my previous host. I still have access to my previous host. Would I have to transfer the domain back to my previous host and then use duplicator?

This is currently what I am seeing on my screen when trying to edit

    Hi Jack97,

Please note that our forum software cannot process email attachments.

Depending on the host, you might be able to access the old website without switching the domain over. I can’t really help you with that but it’s definitely something to consider if you know how to manually adjust the WordPress site URL without using a search and replace.

It might just be easier though if you change the domain back. The entire process should take roughly half an hour to an hour.

Ok, I think I'll just have to transfer the domain back, thank you for you help.
