I use the Vantage theme. When I choose “Display site title alongside logo” (I also have logo in menu enabled), the title is added below the logo, aligned with the center of the logo horizontally. I Would like the site title displayed to the right of the logo, centralized vertically, is that possible to accomplish in an easy way?
Hi BeeNi,
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible with the Logo In Menu setting layout at this time. This is mainly due to there being very limited spacing available when using that masthead layout. There is a way to force the logo to appear alongside using custom CSS.
If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS:
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
Thanks, that helped a little. The title is now in the right place horizontally, but vertically it’s still below the logo instead of alongside it.
I guess I could always incorporate the title into the logo image, but for translation purposes it’d be nice to have it as text.
And if I could ever learn that vertical-align uses “middle” and not “center” I would have fixed it before I replied…
Hi BeeNi,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup?
Sorry, the page won’t go live for another few months. But it’s solved, I set vertical-align to middle and decreased the left margin to get the text close to the logo.
Am currently looking into only displaying the title text alongside the logo if the page width is at least X pixels, so that the title text doesn’t take up space on low res screens. Maybe you have some tips there?
Hi BeeNi,
I’d like to help you with that, but unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved.
We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.
If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.
