After installing SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, the menu in TinyMCE Advanced becomes transparent. When I disable the plugin, it becomes solid white (again).
How do I fix that?

Hi Peter,
That’s odd. I actively use this plugin and have never seen this happen before. I suspect another plugin may be having issues with the Siteorigin Widgets Bundle and in turn cause this issue.
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins (leave TinyMCE Advanced active) and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex
On a site I’ve tested with the themes “Twentyeleven” and “Default”. With only TinyMCE Advanced and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle activated, the problem persists.
I don’t use a cache on this site, and I tested it in a private/incognito window i Google Chrome.
Private Snippet
Since the site is private, I re-enabled a plugin called “Private Only”. Other than that only TinyMCE Advanced and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle are activated.

Hi Peter,
Preface: This is a public forum.
I can’t seem to see the issue you’re seeing. This is what I see:
Can you please try replicating this issue in another browser and/or computer?
I have tried it in Edge as well. And on two pcs. You should have a long text and scroll through it. Then it appears in the menu background.
Hi Peter,
Wait, hang on. Is SiteOrigin Page Builder not enabled on this site? That might explain why I can’t seem to see it. Hm, can you maybe up the account role to see if that helps?
Hi Alex
I enabled Page Builder (but it’s SiteOrigin Widget Bundle, that causes the problem).
I logged in as “Alex”, and I still see the problem. I tested Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Edge – same story. I also tried my tablet, but here there’s no problem,
As I wrote, you should scroll down to see the transparency:

Hi Ptrww,
Ah, I see what you mean. With that said, I’m able to replicate this issue while SiteOrigin Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle are both disabled. Are you sure they’re related?
Hi Alex, glad you see the problem.
I only have the problem when SiteOrigin Widget Bundle is enabled. These shot are taken using the Vantage theme:

Hi Peter,
I can’t seem to replicate that locally. Would it be possible for you to increase my account role so I can run a few tests on your test website?
Hi Alex
I’ve made you admin at http://strik-dig-glad.dk with the username and password, as I gave you previously.

Hi Peter,
Thanks. Unfortunately, I can’t see why this is happening. I’m going to log this as an issue. I would recommend reporting this to the developers of TinyMCE Advanced also.
I’ve found out that the transparency originate from TinyMCE Editor (– not from TinyMCE Editor Advanced). If “transparent” in “/wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins/lightgray/skin.min.css“ is replaced with #fff, the problem disappears.
I guess it can be overwritten when WordPress is updated, and if there is a remedy for that, I don’t know.
Still it’s strange that you only see this transparency when the Widget Bundle is installed.

Hi Peter,
From what I see, we’re preventing the output of certain TinyMCE assets which is likely causing this issue.
