Tidy up Post Loop Widget

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

Hi,

I am wanting to create a home page that utilizes multiple uses of the Post Loop Widget. Firstly as a type of top sticky post, but that just shows the latest in a category. So each time I add a new post to that category the top post changes to the latest post. There are a great many Templates types to choose from. (I am using Vantage). Any tips gratefully received on this. I am currently using content-single.php

I want to tidy up the look

Is there a simple way to take more control of the look here?

Thanks.

    Hi

    Thanks for posting.

It’s best to make use of the Blog or Grid templates.

WordPress sticky posts, unfortunately, don’t display on category/archive pages that I’m aware of. Here is an older post on using a plugin to achieve this: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-sticky-posts-for-categories-in-wordpress/. I gave it a try, it works with the regular category URL structure but doesn’t work for the SiteOrigin Post Loop widget.
