Thrive Architect – Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin conflict

Hi,

I am a Thrive Themes Technical Support Representative and I am writing to you on behalf of one of our customer.
It seems that after our latest updates of our content builder(Thrive Architect) there is a conflict between Page Builder by SiteOrigin editor and Thrive Architect editor.
When the pages are opened with Thrive Architect in the editing mode the screen divides horizontally in two, one half showing Thrve Architect editor and another half the Page Builder by SiteOrigin: https://www.screencast.com/t/oL0atIW42.
When our customer deactivated the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin the page was properly displayed when opened with the Thrive Architect content builder.
Our developers investigated this issue and they discovered that the conflict is actually with the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin, and the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin is somehow based on the BlackStudio plugin.
They hook themselves onto the content but we’d rather have the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin developers input about it.
If they can point out some information about how it hooks into the content we’ll gladly work with them in finding a solution for our customer.
Please help us with the information.
Thank you and have a beautiful day!

Best regards,
Claudiu

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Claudiu,

Sorry for the delay! Thank you for your post.

Our developers investigated this issue and they discovered that the conflict is actually with the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin, and the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin is somehow based on the BlackStudio plugin.

That’s not actually the case. SiteOrigin Page Builder is a page builder that allows users to build structured content and add widgets to their pages. It doesn’t depend on Black Studio TinyMCE Widget (in fact we recommend the SiteOrigin Editor widget which is included in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle – this widget uses the WordPress Editor JS API) but the user may decide to use it. Does this issue occur if Black Studio TinyMCE Widget isn’t activated? I ask as I just want to rule out any unrelated plugin other than SiteOrigin Page Builder and Thrive Architect.

Can you please email [email protected]?

    Hi Alex,

It seems that now the issue occurs only when the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget plugin is activated.
Thank you for looking into this issue.
I wish you a beautiful day!

    Best regards,
    Claudiu
