Just to say I am getting the message “”This page can’t be found” when page builder is active.
Similar to this post: https://siteorigin.com/thread/this-page-cant-be-found-when-page-builder-is-active/.

It’s works ok when I deactivate page builder.

Is it the same solution as mentioned in the above post?

Just a follow up on this.
With page builder active, I deactivated “WPML Multilingual CMS” and this seemed to fix the link problem. So looks like the source of the problem is “WPML Multilingual CMS”.

    Hi Murdo

You can use WPML and Page Builder, we do the occasional testing with the two plugins activated.

    1. Try testing with only WPML and Page Builder activated, no other plugins. Does the issue persist?

    2. If the issue persists, go to Settings > Reading, are there red warnings there? If so, address them by creating the necessary home page translations.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for your advice, the solution 2. indicated the problem, needed to translate the home page.
I followed your advice from (Thread: WPML Translation ) and created a new home page, by cloning the home page, as the custom home page does not translate. This page translated ok.

When trying to edit from wp admin bar the link goes to “wp-admin/themes.php?page=so_panels_home_page” custom home page Appearance/Home Page this is ok, but when selecting “Edit As Page” this link goes to the old Home page. How do I fix this?

Glad to hear you’re making progress :)

Go to SettingsReading, check that all of your home pages are assigned correctly. Once that’s done, don’t use the shortcut home page link and rather edit your home pages via the Pages menu in WordPress, that should avoid this problem.

The shortcut link was originally included to help users make use of Page Builder.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

My main concern was that it may cause confusion for the admin and editors of the site.

Also thanks for all your support.

In this situation, yes it can indeed. Sorry for the hassle. This feature has been removed from our newer themes.
