Theme Unwind – v1.4.6 – irregular scrolling response on the website

Hi there,

Im using the Site Origen theme Unwind already for a long time, but i do see a irregular behavior while scrolling down on a page.

It looks like it creates firsly a space above and then you can scroll down; this doesn’t looks so nice.

See: www.michael-kuijl.com and scroll down; it does this in Chrome, Firefox and Safari (im a Mac user)

Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks already in advance, Michael

    Hi Michael

    Thanks for posting your question.

Please, try deactivating Litespeed Lazy Loading and see if that makes a difference.

    https://blog.litespeedtech.com/2017/11/08/wpw-when-its-good-to-be-lazy/

Scroll to the heading How to use Lazy Load on your WordPress site to see where the setting is located.

Thank you Andrew for your quick response.

I have installed that plugin; should I install this?

    Thanks, Michael

    Hi Michael

It looks to me like Litespeed Lazy Loading is enabled. Please, try disabling it.

I think there might be a setting to enable to see the additional tabs as shown in my screenshot above. SettingsLiteSpeed is the place to start.

    Thanks a lot Andrew,

I found it, it was a setting via the plugin Smash->Dashboard->Lazy load; now I have disabled it.

It looks and behaves steady now

    Thanks, Michael

Super, glad to hear that helped. In the next theme update, we will exclude the logo from being lazy-loaded by LiteSpeed. After the next theme update, if you’d like to use lazy loading, you may enable it again.

Hi Michael, apologies, I read your reply a little too quickly. Is this the plugin that was handling the Lazy Loading https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/?

  7. Phil7071 6 years, 4 months ago

    Correct, that’s the one

Thanks for confirming. I thought LiteSpeed was the issue. We’ve excluded the logo from LiteSpeed Lazy Load, we’ll investigate SmushIt next. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks again :)

Its incorperated as beta version I see within Smush-it

    Ahh, good to know.

I’ve logged the issue here: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-unwind/issues/257. We’ll try to find a solution and update you once we’ve done so.
