Theme Settings not working

I am trying to access the settings.
As “Design->Theme Settings” isnt working anymore, I tried “Design->Customizer”, but the screen stays empty, and I mean completely empty. No sidebar from WordPress is visible.

I am using WP 4.8.2,
Theme 2.6

However, I am using a child-theme for about a year now. Do I need to activate the main theme, in order to customize it an then switch back to the child theme?

    Hi Lightfoot,

    This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

    If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Hi Alex,

    thanks for the hint with the plugins. – It turned out, that I used a very old captcha-plugin, causing this (and other) troubles … I replaced it and everything works fine again! :D
