Hi Everyone,
happy new year from Germany :-)
I use theme “North” and my problem is, that the placeholder text in a search button is “search” instead of “Suchen”. Additionally, the title tag on the search result page is “you searched for” instead of “Sie suchten nach”.
Up to now, I couldn’t find a language setting within the theme settings.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,
Preface: We would really appreciate any translation contributions. If you would rather not submit them, I can submit them for you.
It’s actually quite tricky to adjust this text – Loco Translate makes it much easier to change it. Once installed, please navigate to WP AdminLoco TranslateThemes. Search for SiteOrigin North and open it by clicking the theme name.
Select the language the relevant language (must match what you’ve set WordPress to use) and filter (1 in the image) for Search and then select the exact source text. Adjust the single and plural versions of the transactions in the translation fields (2 and 3). You’ll need to click the tab (labeled other) to switch to the plural version.
Now press save.
Repeat this process for each instance of text you wish to change.
Hi Alex,
I completed 18 of 21 pages of the official German theme translation. I’m curious, when this will be available per theme update ;-)
Additionally, I installed “Loco translator”. Seems to be very helpful.
Thank you for your support.

Hi Alex,
I found one item, where the entry in the PO-File doesn’t match the source code (and the translation isn’t done):
Could you please forward this info to your development team for fixing?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,
That’s actually a user submitted translation – it looks like you’ve submitted a correction so that should hopefully be processed by the WordPress translation team and pushed out soon.
Thank you for the support mate – we really appreciate it! :)
