the widget does not appear – old version

Good morning, I manage the website of my school
A few years ago I had installed two of your plugins SiteOrigin CSS version 1.1.5 and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle version 1.11.8
Since some days when I enter the live edit, the buttons of widget do not appear.
Before it had always worked.
The plugin should always be compatible with our wordpress (version 4.9.22)
What could have happened, if I update the plugin to the latest version do I lose the jobs?
I thank you in advance for your help

Roberto

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Roberto

    Thanks for posting your question.

You can update SiteOrigin plugins without losing any content. Do you perhaps want to give that a try and let us know if the issue resolves?

Hi Andrew, thanks for answering me. I have updated the plugin but the situation has not changed when I enter the home page in editor mode. I see the blank page in the editor and you don’t see the widgets, but in the website the old content is seen. only I can’t edit it in visual mode, only html.
So I did a test with a new page and cloned the Home content. In this page it put me the different widgets and I can edit them. Strange

Hi Andrew, thanks for your help. The home web page is visible but when I go in to edit the page it is blank. if I mouse over in the editor window I see that there is web code present. I tried creating a new web page calling it test and I see the widget regularly.
I attach the three screenshots with wetransfer.

IF I don’t solve I have two solutions in mind:
I clone the home content in the test page and make it become wordpress home. Or I copy and paste the code from the test page I created and replace it in the home editor. I would have to do this every time I edit the home page content.
Do you have any other solutions in mind?
    Thanks again for the help

    Hi Roberto

    Thanks for the update.

Please, check for a working baseline. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle. Does the issue persist?
