Two sites come up under my domain both in Vantage, one is http://www.therapistsusan.com/2015/05/14/hello-world/. How do I get rid of this one? (I didn’t even have this domain until 9/2015. )When I try to find this page to delete it, it is nowhere to be found in Pages or anywhere else I know where to look. I have set my settings to static. Thank YOU!!!
The web presents Two sites under my domain name with Vantage theme! Help!

Hi Ausecours
Thanks for the wait.
Looks like you’ve made progress.
(The post you’re looking for is a standard demo post that WordPress creates when you first install it. You can find and delete it from the Posts menu item in the main left WordPress menu.)
All the best with your site.
Andrew,
Thank you SOO much for taking the time to answer ! I so appreciate it however that is my frustration!!!
In Posts it says “no posts found”. There are two identical rows each saying the same thing title, category etc. each 0 posts. I tried deleting one of the rows but WP won’t let me. When I access my site through the dashboard the Hello World no posts yet page does not appear, only when I google my site does it show up, ( I took a screenshot to show the two rows of zero posts but it won’t paste onto this site, sorry,) HELP!!
signed , still in need of secours
Sure :)
We just need to tell Google to rather go to your home page when trying to find this post.
Use this plugin or one like it:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-301-redirects/
Redirect this URL: http://www.therapistsusan.com/2015/05/14/hello-world to your home page: http://www.therapistsusan.com/
And then wait, it’ll take some time for Google to re-index your site.
Thanks Andrew!!It was making my brain hurt trying to figure it out.. You are brilliant! I will try it tomorrow,
For sure :)
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ plugin has an easy way for you to register your site with Google Webmaster Tools. Webmaster Tools might also be able to help.
Here is a post on this:
https://moz.com/blog/how-to-fix-crawl-errors-in-google-webmaster-tools
Just skip to the 301 redirect section, that’s what I’ve advised.
Yoast talks about it here:
https://yoast.com/404-error-pages-checking/
See the heading, fix with a redirection plugin. That’s what you’ll be doing.
