Text Widget not working

I am using the Page Builder plugin (v 2.4.25 since 2.5 breaks my layout due to the flexbox changes). Recently we updated to WP 4.8 and now I cannot edit text widget. The behavior is similar to what Devphp is experiencing here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/text-fields-not-working-in-page-builder-by-siteorigin/

I enabled the wp error log but did not find anything that points to the problem. I also disabled script concatenating since I know that has been an issue with the wp editor in the past. And finally I disabled all plugins but all to no avail.

There are no javascript errors showing up in the Chrome dev tools.

I am not sure if updating the plugin would solve this issue but I would do it and try to fix the layout issues caused by flexbox if I could be assured that the text widget issue would be solved.

Hi Ken,
The new text widget may suffer from issues if you’re using a version of SiteOrigin Page Builder older than 2.5.4. I would recommend doing a backup and then updating the plugin. Once updated, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your website? Pretty much all of the previous flexbox issues are resolved, barring a few unfixable’s (such as issues caused by certain other plugins or themes – we can’t fix those, and admittedly, those are few and far between) so if issues occur I should be able to assist you.
