Hi –
I’ve been using PageBuilder 2.5.3, and all of a sudden when I try to edit the text widgets, they pop up blank, as the image below shows. The widgets still display on the site as intended, but I am not able to edit them. Does anyone know what I could try to fix this? I have tried in three different browsers with the same result.
Thanks!
Hi Pete,
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex –
It took a few days for me to have my hosting cache cleared. I deactivated all plugins except PageBuilder, switched to Twenty Seventeen, and cleared the caches, but the Text block still does not load correctly. What else can I try? Thanks!
Pete
Hi Pete,
Is this happening for a specific editor or all editors? If just the one editor is affected, what are the contents of said editor?
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?
It is only the Text widget, on all the pages.
With the developer tools, I found that the text box itself has the tag: type=”hidden”

Hi Pete,
Are you able to replicate this issue in a different browser?
If so, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?
This is a private message.
Hi Alex –
The same issue occurred in Chrome/Firefox/Safari.
The plugin update this morning fixed my issue!
Thank you for your help.
Pete
Hi Pete,
Huh. We didn’t intentionally fix this issue so if it happens again, let me know.
I certainly will. Thanks again for your suggestions!
