Text widget doesn’t fit content

8 years ago · Last reply by Wolfden Creative 8 years ago

The height of my text widget doesn’t adjust automatically to fit the text and overflows out of the container onto the footer. I tried display: block, height: auto and all that. The only way to fix is a fixed height which is obviously a problem for various screen resolutions. Please advise. www.globalhealth.port.ac.uk/mrc-new

    Hi Wolfden,

    I’ve had a quick look at your website and it looks like you’ve resolved this issue. Do you still need help with this?

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for your response. I only resolved it as a temporary fix using a fixed height on desktop and mobile. But it still doesn’t work so that the div scales in height dynamically depending on the amount of text in it. Any insight you could provide would be much appreciated,

    Hi Wolfden,

    This issue is being caused by the following CSS added to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Additional CSS:

    .textwidget{
    height: 23vw;
    }

    Please remove that and the height you’ve applied to the widget itself.

    Hi Alex, that worked like a charm, never would have thought to look in there!

    Thank you very much for your help!
